So…Yeah. Hi.
I’ve been given a challenge of creating an Apple Watch app in 30 days, ending on November 16. This wouldn’t necessarily be a problem, except… well… I can’t program in Objective-C. Which seems to be a major hurdle for most people who can’t program in Objective-C. So that’s the challenge. I have to learn to create an iOS app in a month with Swift. I’m going to be holding a lot of tutorials’ hands, but hopefully by the end of the month I can know enough to break something on my own.
Days 1-4 have been attempts at mostly getting acquainted with as much as I can with the new language. I have experience with Javascript and PHP, so it makes it easier since Swift is also inspired by C’s syntax. I’ve already watched this YouTube tutorial and am working through that, reviewed some Lynda.com courses on writing Swift itself, and finally looking at this tutorial on how to build a game app in 3 days. All in all, it’s overwhelming. While I’m already trying to build 3 websites all at once (this one is one of them), this challenge is going to be time consuming. But hopefully worth it.
Anyway, so… yeah.
